![]() Is it just not meant to be played with the Oculus Touch? Is there some kind of in game calibration I am missing? I am not sure what the issue is, I don't have any of these clumsy interactions in other games. ![]() When I am just slowly exploring I can use it, but the second you start a fight and your pulse raises all bets are off. I mean I have to be sooooooo damn gentle with the stick or I end up activating the teleport command. When I use smooth everything works as it should until I try to turn my facing with the right thumbstick. I love that you have both teleport and smooth options, but I have just one issue. I have to hold my arm way out in front of me to actually use the computer and it just feels wrong.Īnd lastly, the locomotion. The arm computer interface just feels so cool when using, but every single time I try to push a button on the screen I end up pulling the flashlight (torch) off of my chest. In the first stage I tried to put the first knife I found on my back for like 5 minutes before the last time I dropped it, it fell through the ground. I could pull them out with ease in training, but putting them back is impossible. I have yet to actually put a knife in a back strap. Even when taking my time I drop my pistol to the ground about 50% of the time. Like holster your weapon so you can pull a pin on a grenade in the middle of a fight. Especially when you are trying to do two things at once. Now I end up chasing my holster in a circle. I look down at my holster and turn my head to the right to get the holster in view and my VR body starts to twist right. Just holstering a pistol is a chore in this game. ![]() The first problem for me is the attachment hot spots. I am not sure it matters, but just in case the interactions might be easier with the Vive I thought I would let you know what I am using. First let me start with the fact that I use the Oculus Touch. That said, some of the in game interactions are just not working for me. The gun play is great and the atmosphere is perfect. I love the VR immersion in the KF universe. These games are great, including Incursion. But I would still recommend u to use free locomotion, otherwise u may get frustrated.First let me say I have loved KF since KF1. Is this something that LibreVR could take a look at? Would be highly appreciated by many of us I think :)Īnyway, despite the issues, Killing Floor Incursion works very good on the Vive. Or I suppose it SHOULD work, but most times I drop the weapon when trying to teleport with same hand. Fortunately, when playing with free loco, we can still teleport at any time.įurthermore, while having teleport movement on as default, u (mostly) cannot hold any item or weapon in the hand u use for teleportation. Thats probably a game glitch though, and free movement is still experimental. So frustrating!Īlso, in some parts during The Catacombs (second map) u are FORCED to use teleportation because u wont get further by only free movement. Also, u need to press them and release them in right order, otherwise you wont teleport. You need to use both grip button and touchpad "up" to teleport. The game is of course much cooler with free movement that is available in options, but some people need teleportation, and here's when it all gets messy. Second issue is while doing teleportation. Tried SS at 1.0 and AA off and still quite same performance. With the Vive and same settings it was still playable, but almost constant reprojection and sometimes even stutter moving my head (i have Asynchronous reprojection on and latest Revive should support that, but still stutters.). ![]() I could play the game on Rift with in-game SS at 1.3, AA on 4x and max graphic quality (default settings for me) with my 1080 Ti, even while recording at the same time and no dropped frames or reprojection whatsoever. Been playing Killing Floor Incursion for a couple of days now, only solo for now, and decided to give it a try with the HTC Vive (and TPCAST) with latest available Revive version.Īs expected, it works with Revive but there are a few minor issues:įirst one is performance drop.
